Im sure none of them have much value, but I havent seen too many Seahawks games in preseason. Mike Williams is listed 3rd on the depth chart, is he their deep threat? Is there a specific reason Golden Tate has seen so little preseason action; has he been hurt, or is he just not very good? How does Deion Branch look/how is his speed? With his age it seems like he'd be strictly a possession receiver.

Reason for all the questions about speed/deep threat etc is this league Im in which values longer TD scores

Thanks guys

My understanding is williams is the deep ball guy. Tate's struggled learning the playbook which is the main thing holding him back...

Mike Williams is the only Seattle WR worth owning IMO, and that's just based on potential.

If you have to question the Seahawks wideouts, that should give you all of the indication you need of not drafting them.

Just found out i have 8th pick out of 12 in my normal scoring league, not even sure who i should be picking. about a 60/40 mix of donkeys + guys who know their shit, so it's impossible to even speculate who will be available. I'd definitely take andre johnson at 8 but i doubt it (CBS league standard scoring)

The reason I am interested in guys like Mike Williams (of Seattle AND Tampa) + guys like robinson (STL) and armstrong (WAS) is this OTHER league im in, crazy extra points for long TDs, plus it is a keeper league so I'm looking for those ultra late round guys that have the big upside
this league is also on CBS but it's got a roster where you can start up to 5 WRs, and there are lots of bench spots as well
so drafting a guy like mike williams is not totally insane.

well now that Housh has gone to Baltimore I'm curious...how has he looked this preseason speed wise?

I'm guessing he is likely to be a #3 option behind Mason, amirite?

Here is my experience when it comes to drafting and acquiring WR's... Stay away from WR's signing with a new team unless he in an elite WR. A marginal or decent receiver is only as good as his knowledge of the playbook and the amount of plays designed to get him the ball. I don't know if you remember this but a while back Santana Moss signed with the Jets and Lavernous Coles signed with the Redskins and both players were busts that year. Then the following year the Jets and Redskins did an even trade for the WR's and both of their stats went back to normal.

It is smart to look for a late round sleeper but in most cases your sleepers will end up being players who were undrafted. See Miles Austin last year. No matter how much homework you do sleepers always bubble up out of nowhere. My advice is keep your waiver priority high so you can pick up those players when they present themselves.

If you want to solidify your WR's during the draft then do it early and not late. A WR isn't just a plug in position like a RB. If a top WR goes down in the NFL teams just can't adjust the depth chart and expect the same or near same results like you could at RB. I would focus on your WR more during the draft because RB's become available via injury every week. If you miss out an Elite WR you will be playing "start em sit em" every week at that position. If you miss out on an elite RB you can address that position in the early weeks if your team can hold it together.
